TPMS

If the vehicle is fitted with TPMS - Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

After each inflation :
  • Make a roadtest.
When replacing a tyre :
  • Make a roadtest.
When substituting the pressure sensor :
  • Use a diagnosis equipment and a valve-forcing tool.
When rotating the wheels :
  • Use a diagnosis equipment and a valve-forcing tool.

TPMS with sensors

Aluminum nut on the valve means that the vehicle is fitted with tyre pressure remote monitoring.

There are 2 different mountings :
  • TPMS with sensors SIEMENS VDO / CONTINENTAL.
  • TPMS with sensors SCHRAEDER.

TPMS with sensors

The control light K220 gets on :
  • Out-of-norms pressure.

Check the tyre pressure.

Obtain :
  • Proper tyre pressure.

It is necessary to drive the vehicle for around 5-10 km, using all the driving range, to reset the computer.

In case of puncture.

If the vehicle is fitted with TPMS - Tyre Pressure Monitoring System :

The C.U. has to be reset to reset the pressure sensors.

Except in the case where the sensor was not replaced.

This operation should not be performed outside of the manufacturer's network.

Or :

Specific tool(s) required.

TPMS with sensors

TPMS with sensors SIEMENS VDO / CONTINENTAL :
  • Valve A.
  • TPMS aerial B.
  • The pressure sensor C.
  • The washer D.
  • The seal gasket E.
  • The nut F (tightening torque 8 N.m).

When replacing a tyre, always substitute the valve A.

When replacing a rim, always substitute the sealing gasket E.

  • Mark its setting direction.

TPMS with sensors

TPMS with sensors SCHRAEDER :
  • The valve A.
  • The clamp B.
  • The pressure sensor C.
  • The screw D (tightening torque 1,5 N.m).

When replacing a rim, always substitute the screw D , the valve A.
